Description

The sound performance is typical for the brand. The Soundcore P20i leans heavily on the bass and lower mid-tones. The bass power mostly comes from the mid-bass, which is powerful and punchy, but can at times rumble a bit too loosely or be a bit overbearing in songs already pushing the bass out of itself. Lower mid-tones are strong too, with hefty darker electronic tones and even some texture in bass guitars. One thing that the Life P3i doesn’t have, is multi-connection. You can’t connect 2 Bluetooth devices at the same time. You need to disconnect one to connect the another. Mostly this feature has in the expensive wireless earbuds like Jabra Elite 7 active or Jabra Elite 7 Pro. Anker Life P3i Review The Sound Quality & Noise Cancellation Anker also developed a Gaming Mode that advertises less latency and enhanced sound effects when mobile gaming. However, there is one caveat: the inform tab states that connection instability may occur. I don’t do much mobile gaming, but from the 30 minutes that I played Mario Kart Tour, the only major connectivity issue I encountered was the startup screen taking longer than expected to load. Those with detailed hearing may find that the drifting and weapon effects sound better than when listening in standard mode.

When opening the app, all eyes will be directed towards the Equalizer, which has 22 presets and lets you create sound profiles by tweaking frequency levels. I can tell Anker has worked hard to improve most of the EQs, offering up more variety to complement all music genres along with content like movies, podcasts and eBooks. Anker gets affordable ANC right on the Soundcore Life P3, presenting an adequate noise-cancelling solution that is attainable for all. It won’t outperform the Liberty Air 2 Pro in most areas, but the fact that it’s capable of going toe-to-toe with its pricier, more powerful sibling says a lot. Comparing it with the other models from the range; the Soundcore A20i has a less articulated bass than the P20i, but comes with a more fluent and organic presentation with more open vocals, and more sense of space to give it a bigger sound. The Soundcore Life P2i, which lifts the lower treble (way) more to compete with the thumpy bass, also has a more vivid and energetic sound.

Price comparison

Most Anker headphones are compatible with the Anker Soundcore app, which offers a graphic EQ and presets so you can adjust your headphones' sound to your liking. You can also remap controls and adjust the active noise cancelling (ANC) level to suit your needs. Well, that's a question I still can't quite answer. The specs are a bit better, that's a start. The P20i - also named the Soundcore R50i in India - now has Bluetooth 5.3 and plays up to 10 hours of music on a single charge (!); that's up to two hours more than the previously mentioned earbuds. It also recharges faster: 10 minutes of recharging in the case makes for two hours of extra listening time, instead of the single hour of previous models. Tùy chỉnh âm thanh: Sử dụng ứng dụng Soundcore để tùy chỉnh âm thanh phù hợp với sở thích cá nhân của bạn. Điều chỉnh giữa 22 chế độ EQ. On the upside, their continuous battery life of just under 28 hours is enough to get you through long days on the go, and you can use them passively in a pinch. They're well-built and have a comfortable fit suitable for long listening sessions. Their default sound profile also delivers extra thump, rumble, and boom while vocals and instruments are crisp.

You can customize their sound using their companion app's graphic EQ and presets. Like their truly wireless counterpart, the Anker Soundcore Space A40 Truly Wireless, they even support LDAC codec, making them a solid choice for Hi-Res audio content. They offer multi-device and NFC pairing, so connecting them to your smartphone or laptop is easy.

Transparency mode quality: The Transparency mode is mediocre. It puts through traffic noise and chatter when you need it, but only when you're not playing music, or playing music up to moderate volume. Cross that level, and the effect is gone. It only took about a day to get used to the controls. They are simple enough, but are one, two or three presses on one or the other earbuds. Nicer than others where it is often a combination of long and short presses. And, it is good at detecting the difference between one and two presses (unlike the ones that do short/long press). My only real quibble, and mostly because I listen to podcasts primarily, is that it is one press to raise the volume and two to pause. Given the bluetooth range, I've got the phone on my when using these, and use the phone buttons to control the volume, and wish it were one press to pause for when people start to talk to me. These comfortable and well-built buds have a warm sound profile out of the box, but you can finetune their sound to suit your tastes using their companion app's graphic EQ and presets. You can also use the app to switch to LDAC codec to stream Hi-Res content. That said, their mic has poor recording quality. The mic captures speech which sounds far away and sibilant, which can be a dealbreaker if you take a lot of calls. However, if you're just looking to listen to music, these wallet-friendly earbuds are worth a look. ANC quality: The biggest difference between the cheaper Soundcore Life P2i and Life P3i, is that the latter has Active Noise Cancelling. Unfortunately, it's not as effective as the best models in the 50-100 dollars price range as of mid-2022 - including the Soundcore Life P3. I own 3 different pairs of AirPod pros. They are fantastic noise cancelling earbuds and if you have a ton of money and are not afraid to lose them then by all means buy those instead.

You Can Hear Everything Around You – You can easily talk to a person without necessarily removing the earbuds since you can Switch to the Transparent Mode and talk freely. Lower mid-tones, such as darker electronic tones and the lowest male vocals, are heavily boosted and add up to the warmth and fullness of the sound. Mono Mode: Remove one earbud from the charging case to use by itself whenever you don't want to use both earbuds. Light Buds for All-Day Comfort: Easily put on these comfortable wireless earbuds that weigh only 5g—perfect for you to wear all day long. These Soundcore true wireless earbuds have decent build quality for their price. The case, as well as the earbuds, are sturdy even if the material feels plastic. The case comes with a hefty lid, a USB-C port below for charging, and an LED light at the front to show the remaining battery charge.

The Anker Soundcore Life P3i has a battery life equal to Life A3i, 9 hours on earbuds, and the charging case provide around 27 hours. Total is 36 hours. In the real experience once full charge on earbuds, the Life P3i wireless earbuds offer approximately 6 to 9 hours. Depend on the volume level and turning on/off the ANC feature. However; single earbuds can use separately. That means if you use one earbud, they provide up to 12 to 18 hours of playtime. That is enough for a long flight across over continent. Like other models from the same brand, the Soundcore Life P3i aims to please many with its vast bass and full sound.

I tested these headphones while traveling, connecting to my iPhone and iPad and had really decent sound. The ANC is just ok, but I had no issues listening to music and watching Netflix. My one regret is that when you remove one of the ear buds the audio does not automatically stop which is a nice feature of the AirPods. You have to manually stop what you’re watching or listening to. I don't know if is the weighting (they are barely noticable wearing them) or shape or my ears or what, but I've tried all the sizes of silicone buds, and they don't stay in all that great. It is fine when I'm working at my desk, or riding in a car, they don't randomly fall out. But, they do fall out way more often than I'd like. I might be chewing food - that is enough to have one fall out. Doing anything more active than walking the dogs one or the other is likely to fall out. I do sports photography and walking the sidelines is o.k., but if I stop and talk to someone, good chance one falls out. Maybe it is just my ears. Easier to Use Button Controls – The Soundcore Life P3i wireless earbuds have tactile buttons that are very easy to use, thus smooth control of calls and music. Recent headphones from this manufacturer have an adjustable noise cancelling system that offers excellent overall performance. Their noise isolation performance nearly rivals high-end brands like Bose and Sony. The charging case has a sturdy lid and the overall material is look quality. Their size is normal, not big and not too small. There is a LED light on the front of the case, which indicates the remaining power of the case. Normally, the LED light is white and it will be red when it is less than 10% of the power. Anker Soundcore Life P3i – Battery Life

Transparency mode is good when walking around. I could hear cars coming, and even heard somebody coming up from behind on an electric scooter. Anker also created a soundscapes mode (Superior Sleep) to help improve your sleep. I don’t see anyone wanting to wear earbuds overnight, even if white noise helps earn them a great night’s rest. What I will say is that the 11 different sound profiles help to relieve any anxiety or tension you’re experiencing throughout the day. For sound quality, it comes through clear. I'm not really an audiophile, and I'm old and probably have lost high end range anyway to give a fair assessment. They aren't tinny or and having bass overwhelm everything that you can't hear the lyrics or podcasts talking. And they are very clear, both talking and music. And that is good enough for me. The only thing is you may not find the earbuds the most comfortable to wear if you're a side sleeper. Set a timer and the sounds play for a limited duration to save the battery. Adding to the appeal is the excellent support from the Soundcore app. Between the eight-band EQ and 21 presets, there are a number of ways to tweak the sound the way you want, or depending on the content you're listening to. That kind of variability is nice for more budget-conscious earbuds, and it helps that the comfy fit and solid default audio provide an excellent foundation.
